Es Selamun Aleykum ve Rahmetullahi ve Berakatuh
Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you all.
Bismillah.
Dear brothers and sisters,
We are passing through difficult times as an Ummah.
Both socially and individually.
Oppression has spread to all geographies,
Fitnah (trial and tribulation) has enveloped every side,
Right and wrong have become thoroughly mixed.
But all of this should never discourage us.
The darkest moment of the night is the moment closest to dawn.
A Muslim never loses hope in ALLAH.
What falls upon us is beautiful patience and struggle.
What matters most is what we do right now.
Satan can whisper to us from every direction,
Invite us to the pleasures of worldly life,
Cloud our minds through disputes,
Intimidate us with our past mistakes,
Stop us with anxiety about the future.
However, we can resist all of these.
What Almighty ALLAH expects from us is sincerity, not perfection,
Struggle, not victory,
Effort and submission, not triumph,
Repentance, not sinlessness,
Balance, not extremism,
Trust in Allah (tawakkul), reflection (tafakkur), and patience, not haste,
Seeking the truth and following it, not knowing everything,
That which is small but consistent, not that which is momentary and discontinuous.
We are in the age of fitnah in the end times.
However, our prescription is clear,
If we strive to be truthful,
If we research and learn the truth,
If we follow and accept the truth,
If we stand by the truth and struggle for it,
Then Almighty ALLAH will guide us to the truth.
What we need to do is simple,
To perform our prayers properly,
To strive to learn our religion,
To feel the pain of the Ummah's troubles,
To struggle for the Ummah and Islam,
To observe the limits set by our Lord.
Be hopeful, my brothers and sisters,
We are Muslims, alhamdulillah.
There can be no greater honor than this.
Each of us is far more valuable than we think.
Please do not belittle what you are capable of doing,
Even the small things we do are far more important than we think.
We are far stronger and more important than we think.
We must simply submit to our Lord and strive.
May our Lord increase our knowledge, our faith, and our courage. Amin.
"Do not underestimate any good deed, even if it is merely meeting your brother in faith with a smiling face."
Sahih Muslim, Birr 144
"Allah the Exalted has said: 'I am as My servant thinks of Me. I am with him as long as he remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I remember him in Myself. If he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than it. If he draws near to Me by a hand's span, I draw near to him by an arm's length. If he draws near to Me by an arm's length, I draw near to him by a fathom's length. If he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.'"
Sahih al-Bukhari, Tawhid 50
"O you who believe! Seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient."
Surah Al-Baqarah 153
"Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, 'When is the help of Allah?' Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near."
Surah Al-Baqarah 214
"But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. Allah knows, while you know not."
Surah Al-Baqarah 216
"And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart; and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient."
Surah Al-Anfal 46
"(...) But what is due from me is beautiful patience. Perhaps Allah will bring them to me all together. Indeed it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise."
Surah Yusuf 83
"And those who strive for Us — We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good."
Surah Al-Ankabut 69
"Indeed, with hardship comes ease."
"Indeed, with hardship comes ease."
Surah Al-Inshirah 5-6
"(...) Do not obey him; but prostrate and draw near [to Allah]."
Surah Al-Alaq 19
If we have been correct, that is only from ALLAH. If we have erred, that is only from ourselves. InshaALLAH it has been beneficial.
With the hope that it becomes a means to goodness. We await your good prayers.
Selamun aleykum.
