As we approach the end of September, global tensions show no signs of easing.
If we examine this week's news headlines in order, we can summarize them as follows:

  • Trump's Board of Peace Plan
  • Forced Marriages in East Turkestan
  • Iran Flights Halting
  • Yemen Crisis Deepens
  • US Plan for Military Bases in Greenland
Although it was relatively less active compared to previous weeks, it was still a week filled with significant developments.
So, let's take a look step by step at what happened this week.

Trump's Board of Peace Plan

According to claims regarding the Gaza plan of the so-called "Board of Peace"—which was established under US leadership and has failed to take any concrete steps so far—the region is envisioned to be transformed into a demilitarized and rebuilt living area. The plan foresees the entry of humanitarian aid into the region, the total removal of Hamas from governance, and oversight by an international stability force along with a temporary committee. In short, this plan can be read as officializing the occupation of genocidal Israel under softened words, and none of its potentially positive aspects—such as humanitarian aid, reconstruction, and ceasefire terms—currently have any reality on the ground. On the contrary, blood continues to flow in streams in Palestine, and people continue to suffer oppression in various ways. Forced Marriages in East Turkestan

Recent reports published by the Uyghur Human Rights Project (UHRP) expose the latest severity of the oppressive Chinese government's atrocities in East Turkestan. According to the reports, local authorities in the region are forcibly marrying Muslim Uyghur women to Chinese men, both assimilating the Uyghurs and using this tactic as a tool of coercion. Even though detailed information, data, and imagery are difficult to obtain due to the strict censorship policy enforced by the cruel Chinese regime even in digital environments, the uncovered information alone is enough to demonstrate the barbaric attitude carried out against Islam and Muslims in East Turkestan.

Iran Flights Halting

In the endless US-Iran conflict, comprehensive US sanctions targeting the Iranian aviation sector and successive international flight bans have disrupted travel and air transportation to Iran. The suspension of flights to Iran from regional countries such as Turkey clearly demonstrates the severity of the crisis. As a result of the restrictive decisions taken and warnings from the Treasury Department, airline operations came to a near standstill, forcing passengers who had to travel to use overland routes instead.

Yemen Crisis Deepens

Following the escalation of Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia in Yemen, Saudi Civil Defense units issued consecutive danger warnings for the capital Riyadh and the eastern city of Al-Kharj. During the period when explosions were heard in Riyadh and security measures were raised to the highest level, an all-clear was reported following investigations once the immediate threat had passed; however, the crisis in Yemen remains unresolved. Further deepening after the Iran crisis, the Yemen crisis experienced a rapid escalation in September, posing a global risk. Furthermore, how the region's new alliance, the Mecca alliance, will play a role in the face of this crisis is also causing various concerns.

US Plan for Military Bases in Greenland

It has been reported that the US plans to establish two new military bases in Greenland, which it considers highly strategic, in order to strengthen its military and geopolitical presence in the region. Under a new security agreement expected to be signed with Denmark and Greenland, the goal is to reactivate the southern Narsarsuaq base leftover from the Cold War era and build an additional new military base. While this situation faces various reactions locally and globally, it is evident that expanding the military presence of the US—which brings war and trouble wherever it goes—serves no one's benefit.


While various negative events continue to unfold, we have not given up fighting for good things. As we approach the end of 2026, infinite praise be to ALLAH Almighty that, by His permission, we have accomplished most of our goals and are already laying the foundations for our action plans for 2027. On the other hand, 2026 is not over yet, and in the coming months, if my Lord permits, we will strive to do even better things. May my Lord increase our knowledge, faith, and efforts. Amen.

Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (Surah Az-Zumar - Verse 53)
