Es Selamun Aleykum ve Rahmetullahi ve Berakatuh
Bismillah.

What is true freedom?
Is it doing whatever one wants?
Is it not doing what one does not want?
In fact, it is neither.

Everything we do, we do based on something.
Some pierce mountains for the one they love, never hesitating to fulfill their every wish.
Some try to abide by the rules of the religion they believe in.
Some try to be happy in life, acting according to their desires.
In a way, we are slaves to our causes and reasons.

Because no matter what one believes in, no matter what one lives for, human beings serve something.
Some serve the values they believe in, some serve the state they live in, and some serve their own desires.
For this reason, doing what one wants or not doing what one does not want is not actually freedom, but slavery to one's own desires.

However, in this case, the concept of freedom as we know it becomes impossible.
Therefore, the concept of freedom in our minds is incorrect.
In this situation, the real question becomes: What is true freedom?
Now this is an important question with a true answer.

In this life, we are bound to serve something under all circumstances.
Is true freedom then choosing what to serve?
However, in that case, every kind of slavery would fall under the scope of freedom, making bondage impossible.
Therefore, the main issue is *what* we serve and *why* we serve it.
True freedom lies precisely here.
Thus, the person who possesses true freedom is the one who submits themselves to ALLAH and serves Him because it is the Truth.
In other words, it is the Muslim and the Believer (Mu'min).

Because only such a person has dedicated themselves to the Being most worthy of service—the One who created them and everything from nothing, who knows good and evil, right and wrong—and has chosen to follow His commands and prohibitions knowing they are true and beyond doubt. Only such a person can be free in the true sense.
Otherwise, a person becomes a slave either to another helpless, mortal human with limited knowledge, or to their own whims, desires, and passions, or to other worldly, temporary, and vain things. Furthermore, a person does all this without a real and correct reason, but due to temporary and worldly motives such as desire, passion, ambition, and lust.
Service and submission to worldly and temporary entities or causes can never be equal to service and submission to the Supreme Creator—who created humans and everything with flawless knowledge, and who fully knows right and wrong—done with the realization that it is the Truth.
This is what true freedom is.
It is for a person to break free from the bondage of temporary and imperfect masters and submit themselves to ALLAH alone.

The only cause worth fighting for is the Cause of Islam.

If we have attained what is right, it is only from ALLAH. If we have made a mistake, it is only from ourselves. InshaALLAH, it has been beneficial.
