Bismillah.
Today's article is about a topic that can be very useful for technology enthusiasts and developers. However, the method we will show is so easy and free that even someone with no coding knowledge can comfortably follow the steps and create an APK for any website they wish.
There are multiple ways to make a mobile app for a website. But the simplest among them is to display the website via a Web View. This process can actually be thought of as creating a shortcut for the website. Unfortunately, however, this process is not always that simple. Usually, you have two options: either you will deal with tools like Android Studio, use some coding, and then compile the app, or you will use paid services. But today we will show you a much easier and completely free method, insha'ALLAH.
All you need is an Android phone running Android 8 or higher. That's all.
Then, we need to download the Web-to-App application via GitHub. This application is completely open-source and free software. You can safely install it on your device. In addition to making a website into a mobile app, the application offers many different options, but insha'ALLAH, we will explain the steps for making a website into a mobile app, which is the most needed topic. After downloading and installing the application, there are only a few steps left to turn our website into a mobile app:
- After opening the application, we tap the button to create a new app.
- From the opened menu, we select the "Web" option.
- We select the icon for our application.
- We enter the name of our application.
- We enter the URL of our website.
- Then, if we wish, we can scroll down to customize any settings we want.
- After we are done with the settings, we tap save.
- Then the application will take us back to the main menu. Here, we tap the three dots next to our application.
- From the opened menu, we can compile our app, share the APK, or export it.
- And our application is ready!
Additionally, you can use this method on a computer as well, but it won't be as easy as on an Android device. But let us explain how it's done:
- First, we install LDPlayer 9 or a higher version on our computer.
- Then, we download Android Platform Tools to our computer.
- Next, we open LDPlayer.
- After that, we install the Web-to-App application that we downloaded from GitHub into LDPlayer.
- Then, we create our app following the steps on mobile and tap save.
- Next, we launch the command prompt in the Platform Tools folder.
- Then, by typing "adb connect 127.0.0.1:5555" into the command prompt, we connect to our virtual device in LDPlayer via adb. While this address is standard, it may vary.
- Next, we return to LDPlayer and compile our APK through the application.
- After the compilation process, instead of installing our APK, we copy the build path.
- Then, we return to the command prompt and enter the command "adb -s emulator-5554 shell pull /Enter/your/copied/path/here/0.apk". Here, the emulator name is also standard, though it may vary.
- Congratulations! We can find our compiled APK in the Platform Tools folder.
If we were correct, it is only from ALLAH. If we made a mistake, it is only from ourselves. Insha'ALLAH, it has been useful.
Hoping it serves as a means for good. We await your good prayers.
Selamun aleykum.
